Overview

As an HR professional, sharing a job with your hiring team is a great way to get feedback on whether the job is accurately defined, and having your hiring team review candidates as their behavioral assessment results come in can save a ton of time and ensure all team members' voices are heard.

The Share Panel enabled a new sharing task flow for users of PI's Hire and Design products. The objects being shared in this flow were to be either Jobs (in Hire) or Teams (in Design).

The Problem(s):

  1. Research indicated users wanted more and better options for sharing a job or team with coworkers.
  2. Access management and permission management were being conflated were not well thought out.
  3. Overall task flows and UI architecture would need to be modified to accomodate sharing.

The Solution:

Solving this required us to understand the expectations and perceived needs for what sharing meant regarding the security of the information being shared as well as defining the resulting experience from the POV of both the party extending the share and the party receving the share: how the item and the sharing message itself would look and behave.
